Constantly Monitor Two ESD Wrist Straps

Constant Monitor S5182 continuously monitors the performance of two anti-static wrist straps and their entire path to ground in "real time" while the straps are being worn in production. The use of constant monitors to detect ESD ground faults is much better than periodically testing wrist straps with an ordinary wrist strap tester. Ground faults detected by the constant monitor are realized immediately, before static can damage your product. Not hours after the fact! Constant monitors are ideal for any environment where static damage is a concern. Anti-static wrist straps can and do fail. ESD ground cords get stressed from use and can break or become intermittent.

Significant advantages constant monitors: ● Immediate detection of ESD wrist strap ground faults,  ● Detects intermittent faults that a wrist strap tester may not catch,  ● No need to rely on employees to periodically test their wrist straps,  ● Reduced chance of ESD damage means improved product quality and reliability,  ● Comparable cost to wrist strap testers but with the added benefit of constant ground fault monitoring.  ● Eliminates periodic testing requirements of ESD wrist straps and table grounds  ● Relieves supervisors of having to monitor employees periodic ground strap testing and keeping test log records.

How a constant monitor works: Plug the ESD wrist strap ground cord into the grounding jack of the constant monitor right at the production workstation. The constant monitor grounds the wrist strap and simultaneously monitors for faults in the ground path, from skin contact with the strap - all the way through to the earth ground! A good ground path results in the LED on the constant monitor to glow green (indicating GOOD). If a ground fault is detected, the LED will blink red (indicating FAULT), and the unit will repeatedly beep.

Also available: Single Constant Monitor S5181 to monitor only one anti-static wrist strap.
